"When I switched vehicles in early March my insurance stated there wouldn't be an increase in premium. I checked my statement that is coming due on the 15th. My original insurance cost was $79 mo for full coverage, plus home insurance of about $10 month. Now, my premium for everything is $103 a month. I contacted Mark Minzlaff my local State Farm Agent here in Green Bay about the increase. I did not get a clear answer as to the actual increase, except that they don't know basic math according to their calculations. He told me there is an increase in premium because I purchased a newer vehicle than my previous Buick. Ok, great. So, the premium for just the car is now $93.43 a month which is an increase of $13.44. (Previous auto portion was $79.99) He told me that my rate increased $2 more a month. We were going back and forth and now he's telling me it increased $6 a month. No, it actually increased $13.44 a month. The math did not add up...... Furthermore, his office assistant Ashley who I originally emailed forwarded my email to him so he could contact me about my question. I looked in the email thread and when she forwarded it to him she wrote: I'll look into this, but $10 really? The point is not that I can't afford an increase. The point is that they provided me with poor service in an unprofessional manner. It isn't about that I can't afford the increase. That isn't it. It's about misinformation, and poor customer service! I have not received an apology for misinformation or for the email thread of complaint that his assistant was complaining to him about my small increase in premium. Furthermore, don't tell me it's $2, then $6 increase when it's $13.44. That's $80.64 increase for 6 months. That amount is nothing to scoff at! I find it ridiculous that your staff want to: 1 ) Act like my inquiry is not really a big deal 2.) Not provide me with accurate information 3.) That it's ok to dismiss why I'm upset because the premium went up, and actually vocalize it in writing to her boss. 😲😤😠 RUDE 4.) Tell me that, if it it's a problem I should switch Listen, make sure that when you're responding to customer emails, you don't include forwarded emails from your office personnel who blatantly thinks it's not a big deal that I'm inquiring or upset that my rate went up....."

"Karl-I apologize for not meeting your service expectations. Unfortunately, when you purchase a newer vehicle the rate can change. The rate did go up $6 a month. I know you are upset since you thought it would be $2. Again, we apologize. The $13 increase you mentioned was one month only to get your monthly account caught up which we discussed. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any further questions or concerns. Mark"

"After an extensive amount of research amongst the top twelve nationwide insurance agencies, I was pleasantly surprised by the low premium offered by State Farm. After speaking with two of their customer service agents, who spent an average of half an hour going over my questions and concerns before offering me a quote, I was fully assured that the low premium would indeed cover me and my vehicle to the minimum of my state's requirements for insurance. Upon calling back the customer service line to confirm, I was informed by that agent that my quote offered was contingent with the agency provided on my confirmation email, but I could go with a local agent instead which I prefer to do. I was then transferred to Ashley (Mark Minzlaff Agency), who proceeded to go over my quote and was able to advise me on adding a few more insurance options, that made sense for me and my driving needs, and helped me finalize my quote and begin my automobile coverage with State Farm. I would highly recommend State Farm, and especially Ashley of Mark Minzlaf Agency) to anyone trying to find affordable, quality insurance from a dependable company with excellent customer service!!!"
